Each year people watch the American Music Awards to find out whether their favorite musical artists get the recognition the fans believe they deserve. There is a lot more to the American Music Awards, and this year was no exception. The most dramatic part of the AMAs was Jennifer Lopez, or as everyone knows her, J. Lo fell on stage at the AMAs.
Don’t start worrying; J. Lo’s fall wasn’t a bad one. She wasn’t hurt, but when J. Lo falls at the AMAs, it’s kind of a big a deal. Luckily, that which has made Lopez famous has not only made her rich and famous, but it also protects J. Lo falls down on stage. She’s just fine. Anyway, she has a hefty insurance policy on that piece of real estate of hers, so if she did need medical attention she wouldnt need quick personal loans or anything.

American Music Award winners
In case youre wondering who actually won at the American Music Awards, heres the rundown of the big ones. Michael Jackson won four awards post mortem, winning the title of Favorite Male Artist in the pop/rock category and the soul/rhythm and blues category. His album Number Ones got Favorite album in both of those categories, too.
The Black Eyed Peas took home Favorite Band, Duo, or Group in both categories. Rascal Flatts took that title in the country category. Jay-Z took both Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Album in Rap/Hip-Hop, as the dominant force this year. Keith Urban won Favorite Male Artist for Country, and Beyonce won Favorite Female Artist for soul/R&B.
Taylor Swift won the most awards, five total, taking home favorite Female artist for pop/rock, country and adult contemporary. She also took home Favorite Album for her album “Fearless” in Country. She also, of course, won Artist of the Year.
